Delivery
Backgrounds will be dispatched within 3 working days for single-sided or 5 working days for double-sided. Shipping rates are from: £10 UK, £20 Europe, £35 USA and Canada and £60 Australia. For the Rest of the World please email: hello@foodifancybackgrounds.com or call +44 7467 051608 and we will get back to you with a quote. Please state:
- Background size – our standard sizes for ‘textured’ backgrounds are 60cm x 60cm, 60cm x 90cm or 80cm x 115cm and for ‘Wood’ 58cm x 58cm, 58cm x 90cm and 71cm x 115cm (do mention if you require a different size).
- Total quantity
- Shipping address and telephone number inc area code.
Courier times are as follows:
- 3 to 5 working days for UK
- 3 to 7 working days for Europe
- 5 to 8 working days for USA and Canada
- 5 to 8 working days for Australia
- 5 days+ for Rest of the World.
Tracking details are given upon dispatch.
Please message if you require the background sooner than the times specified.
Do ensure that the correct delivery address is given as a refund will not be issued if incorrect.
Note that times may vary for International shipping if held in customs. Customers are liable for any import duty/customs tax.
Shipping to the EU
The UK left the EU on 01/01/2021 with a trade deal which allows trade between the UK and the EU without tariffs or quotas. However, local taxes and charges can sometimes be applied locally to you and will differ in each country. Please check any local charges in your area before ordering as we can’t be held responsible for any charges applied after shipping.
If you don’t check the local charges or they are more than expected and you don’t want to pay them, you can refuse the charges and the shipment will be returned to us. Once we have received it back in the same condition, we can refund your order less any costs we incur from the courier for its return.
Refund / Exchange
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for whatever reason you can return the product in its unused condition, within 30 days of purchase to get a full refund of the purchase price or exchange. However, customers are responsible for all shipping costs.
If the return is a result of our error (for example, you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.) we will bear responsibility for the return shipping costs. When returning an item/s we recommend using a tracked or signed service and getting proof of postage.
If you would like to exchange your order the additional postage cost for the replacement background is also the responsibility of the buyer.
No refunds on gift vouchers, sale items, custom or the double-sided made to order backgrounds.
Damaged Goods
If your item has arrived damaged, photos of all damages or defects are required in order for me to issue a refund or replacement. If you cannot provide photos of the damages and/or defects, I cannot process a refund.
Please contact hello@foodifancybackgrounds.com to notify me of a refund or exchange request. Or if your background arrives damaged please email within 48hours of receipt.
How to Look After Your Background
Whilst the backgrounds are durable, colourfast, splash and stain resistant you will be testing it by scattering it with high pigment foods such as turmeric and beetroot. You can wipe clean the background with a soft damp cloth or kitchen paper, but do not rub with excessive pressure. Here are a few more tips:
- Keep it out of direct sunlight/heat and store in a cool dry room
- Try to store it laid flat or very upright – you could store it in the packaging box it came in
- Avoid stacking your backgrounds on top of one another, but if you do, create a bit of space between each board by lining them with a sheet of card.
- Wipe any spills and dirt swiftly after shooting
- Do not use the background to chop on
- The background is designed for decorative use only. It is not advised to consume food which has been placed on the surface.
